Since its inception, the Birmingham Chapter mothers have proven to be servant leaders, giving of their time and talents in regional officer roles and national committees. Mrs. Alpha Robertson was honored to serve as the first Southeastern Regional Director (1957- 1963). Our dynamic teens have also served in leadership roles within the region since 1996. The Birmingham Chapter has served as the host for several Regional Conferences such as the Teen Leadership Conferences, Children's Clusters, Mother Area Workday, and more. We had the great honor of hosting a very powerful and educational event for children and families from across the nation, Children's Crusade, The Power of Children in May 2018.Historical sites were visited throughout Birmingham, Montgomery, and Atlanta.

The Birmingham Chapter has a rich and illustrious history since it was established as the sixth chapter in the Southeastern region. It has grown from 20 mothers to an organization of 91 mothers and families that still embrace the same commitment to creating programs and activities to enable our children and the children within our community to develop into strong leaders of tomorrow.
